“My experience at NAC prepared me for clinical work in any environment. Dr. Piryatinsky and Dr. Krengel encourage students to pursue their interests and expand their clinical skills. NAC is a dynamic and flexible environment where I was able to nurture several interests (e.g., therapy, research, cog rehab) while developing my skills in neuropsyhcological assessment. The work is always changing, as different referral sources provide unique exposures (e.g., bariatric surgery candidates, DBS pre/post-op). I am so grateful for my time at NAC, where my foundation as a future neuropsychologist was established and nurtured.”

“Dr. Piryatinsky's practice is where my passion for clinical neuropsychology began. As a practicum student who started with no experience, I received thorough training in all aspects of neuropsychological assessment that encouraged independence and critical thinking within case conceptualization. It is here that I discovered my interest in working with older adults with comorbid neurologic and psychiatric conditions. Additionally, I took advantage of many opportunities to be involved in research, which is a critical component of earning a doctorate in clinical psychology and eventually becoming a scientist-practitioner. I highly recommend this practicum not only because of Dr. Piryatinsky's expertise but also her effectiveness as a supervisor.”
